How do I book a session?

How long is each session?

Sessions typically last between 45 and 60 minutes, tailored to your needs.

Is reflexology safe?

Reflexology is safe, and generally well-tolerated. As with all therapeutic practices, there are some contraindications where treatment should be avoided, or modified and these will be discussed during the consultation.

Contraindications include, active infections in the treatment area (for example athletes foot, cellulitis), the first trimester of pregnancy, circulatory issues such as active blood clots (DVT), and some acute injuries.

Clients should not receive treatment whilst under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

What should I expect during a session?

For your first treatment we will have a chat about any health issues, and what you are looking achieve from your treatments. This helps me to understand what your needs are and how best to tailor your treatments,

I will explain the treatment and what you can expect before making you comfy in my LaFuma reclining chair, (removing your shoes and socks for foot reflexology). Then it is your time to relax and enjoy the experience in the comfort of your own home.

I will work systematically across the reflex points using specific thumb and finger techniques. You may find some areas tender or sensitive, this may indicate the corresponding area needs a bit more attention. You may feel different sensations throughout the session, warmth, tingling, a sense of release are all common. It is normal to feel sleepy, or a sense of calm afterwards.

You will be recommended to drink plenty of water after your treatment. Many people feel the need to rest, whereas others feel energised. Both are normal responses as your body processes the treatment.
